Very few of you may know that I’ve dabbled in flamework and jewelry design once upon a time. A few years ago, I found myself in a rut, unemployed, and bored out of my mind. After watching a documentary about glass-blowing I was inspired to look-up local schools. Luckily, I stumbled upon Urban Glass’ Bead Project, applied, and was accepted to their amazing program! I learned to melt, spin, and mold glass into gorgeous beads that I would later smooth down and incorporate into multi-media jewelry pieces.
Urban Glass will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Bead Project on September 23rd with Open Studios including discounted and free workshops, demonstrations, and more! AND… two of my original Lady Misfit Glass jewelry pieces will be on display in the exhibit… Including 1 which was submitted for judging.
So come on by for a day of flametastic fun!…
And support your favorite Sin while you’re at it.
